Publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment and developer Insomniac Games have confirmed during Summer Game Fest 2023 that open-world action-adventure game Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has locked down its release date on the PlayStation 5 to the second half of October.
After stealing the show with its extended gameplay reveal during May 2023’s PlayStation Showcase, the long-awaited sequel will let us help Peter Parker and Miles Morales in their battle against Kraven the Hunter in just a few months.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 PS5 Release Date
With its PS5 release date set to occur on October 20, 2023, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 also sees the pair facing a new Symbiote threat.
During its gameplay reveal, we actually got a look at Peter Parker wearing the black suit and using devastating Symbiote powers against Kraven’s henchmen.
While both potent and flashy, they do come at a cost. The footage, which you can watch below, already showed Peter’s personality being altered by the Symbiote, making him more aggressive.
Although Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’s PS5 release date is now locked in, the title isn’t headed to PC right away, which is in line with Sony’s approach to releasing PS5 exclusives on the platform. You can read more about it by following the link at the top of this article.
