4A Games has come a long way since the low-budget development of Metro 2033, the surprisingly successful adaptation of Dmitry Glukhovsky’s homonymous novel. Having recently released the third game in the series, Metro Exodus, the studio is now launching an expansion titled The Two Colonels, and the best part is that it comes out tomorrow!
In The Two Colonels, players will return to the horrific Metro tunnels where the series began in a terrifying homage to the survival-horror aspects of the earlier titles. The expansion is set to feature Colonel Khlebnikov as the protagonist attempting to journey through the ill-fated Novosibirsk system and come home to his son on New Year’s Eve.
I, for one, am glad to see Metro return to the old-school thrills of facing off against nightmarish mutants and hostile survivors in claustrophobic tunnels, but it also looks like the prequel DLC is hiding a few surprises that weren’t present in the main campaign, so I think it’s worth looking into.
The expansion will be available tomorrow, August 20th, on both PC and consoles, but you can watch the trailer below right now. If you want more information, don’t forget to check out the official Metro website over [url=https://www.metrothegame.com/en-gb/here[/url] here.
