Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin has now launched, promising a turn-based RPG with lots of creature collecting and gear customization . It’s a bit of a different game than what fans of the series might expect, which is why some might be wondering about its game length and how long it takes to complete.

It took us a bit over 50 hours to reach the final mission. During this time, we completed a good chunk of optional subquests but many more remained untouched. We also explored a significant portion of the game’s areas and fought enough optional battles to upgrade several sets of gear to max level.
We estimate that we’d need to put in at least 20-30 more hours before clearing all the content in Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, including the remaining subquests and defeating all 250 monsters and their different variants.
