Moros Protocol is a new sci-fi roguelite FPS that blends aspects of Doom with Dead Space. It’s set for release on PC later this year.
In Moros Protocol, you play as a soldier named Alex, who awakens on a battleship on its way to war. With most of the ship’s crew dead, you team up with a robotic companion named Ody-6, setting out to try and survive while escaping the hostile war zone.
The official game description reads:
“Moros Protocol is a relentless, fast-paced shooter where survival means adapting - or being consumed. To thrive against the monstrous hordes, players will need to dynamically adapt their loadout and strategy with each run.
“Looking for a frantic, high-mobility approach to your enemies? Fill up your loadout with SMGs or pistols, augmented for speed and increased damage while moving-perfect for laying down a barrage of bullets on the go. Or for a slower, more methodical approach, put together a sniping build that focuses on powerful, precise shots that can take down enemies in a single hit.”
There are a lot of different ways to adapt your loadout to whatever you’re being pitted against, and you’ll need to plan your route to make sure you can take on any risks. Since this is a roguelite, death is part of the experience. Dying may reset you to the beginning, but you’ll be able to upgrade your abilities between runs and better equip yourself for the future.
What’s else is it seems Moros Protocol will have drop-in co-op too, allowing you to share the glory and survive together.
Moros Protocol launches for PC via Steam later in 2025.
