MultiVersus’ is publisher Warner Bros. Games shot at the platform fighter sub-genre, featuring a sizeable roster of characters from across several popular IPs. After announcing a closed alpha test for May, the company has revealed revealed that players will get get another chance to try out the game before launch, thanks to an open beta, while giving us the first details about its start and end dates.
MultiVersus’ open beta will follow relatively soon after the closed alpha concludes, giving the team behind the game time to polish things up before a larger number of players get their hands on the platform fighters. It’ll also be a good way to get through the summer drought, as our backlogs give us disappointed looks.
MultiVersus open beta
MultiVersus’ open beta has locked down its start date to July 26, 2022. Players who took part in its closed alpha or gain access via Twitch Drops can play starting with July 19, when the early access period begins. Its end date hasn’t been shared, so we don’t yet know how much time we’ll have to give the game a shot.
