My Time At Sandrock was released back in November to strong reviews and after not launching with it, crossplay support is finally on its way to the game’s multiplayer.
Announced at the Triple-I Initiative Showcase on April 10, 2024, Pathea Games showed off a trailer for the feature and detailed what players can expect.
When is crossplay support arriving for My Time At Sandrock?
Pathea Games will release crossplay for My Time At Sandrock in the Summer of 2024 for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. The feature will arrive for free for all players via an update, according to a press release from the reveal at the Triple-I Initiative Showcase.
A more precise timeframe hasn’t been given yet, but hopefully, we will see the feature added to the RPG early in the Summer around Summer Game Fest in June.
How will crossplay in My Time At Sandrock work?
Crossplay in My Time At Sandrock will work identically to how multiplayer works right now according to Pathea Games. You will simply be able to “join the same server and room”, growing Sandrock together and hopping in and out from helping your friends when you like.
However, this time you will be able to do so no matter which platform you and your friends play on. Therefore, it should be incredibly seamless, not requiring any additional steps, based on what the development team has said. We will know properly how you can join up with your friends when the feature launches in the Summer.
My Time At Sandrock is currently sitting at an 80 on Metacritic, so if you haven’t checked it out yet, now might be the time. To get you started before you jump in, you can check out our rundown of how My Time At Sandrock multiplayer works if you want to collaborate with your friends.
