The New World crafting system is intimidating to say the least, with hundreds of materials in any given discipline. This certainly diversifies the range of crafted goods on the market, but can sometimes feel overwhelming.
Voidmetal is one of these specific materials that can be used in the crafting of mid-level tier 3 weapons made with the Weaponsmithing, Engineering, and Arcana trade skills. But how do you get Voidmetal in New World?
How to find Voidmetal in New World
The first thing to note is that Voidmetal isn’t derived from any ore and is not something you can craft yourself. It is in fact a rare drop from containers, crates, and chests found throughout the world and can also be found in Iron Veins while mining.
There are also Mountain and Tundra Elementals that can be killed and harvested with a pickaxe at level 100 mining. These mostly drop Cobalt and Crystal but do have Voidmetal as a rare drop as well.
Whichever chance you take, its odds are so long that if you hope to obtain it in a sufficient volume for crafting it’s best to head over to the market. It is not a cheap resource to buy but the weapons crafted with it are some of the best for tier 3 gameplay.
