New World Rivercress stems are a protective water reagent making them incredibly useful for making Corruption Tinctures. These protect you from the damaging effects you’ll be facing when dealing with higher-level corruption events you’ll encounter in the world.
Rivercress uses the harvesting skill and requires players to reach level 30 to harvest them. This may sound high but the first levels progress quickly, so just grab farm plants while you’re out and about or track down some hemp to help level up your weaving and armoring.
New World - Where to find Rivercress Stems
You’ll find the majority of Rivercress around Everfall, Windsward, and Brightwood, but they also appear in other places as well. This makes sense if you look at the map, with these regions having lots of rivers and it being called Rivercress after all.
- Everfall
- Windsward
- Brightwood
If you’re looking for a specific spot to try your luck, the long river to the west of Windsward is ideal as Rivercress seems to turn up more around grasslands. Also, be sure to check out the base of any waterfalls you come across as that’s also a common spot for them to spawn.
You gain the ability to track Rivercress at level 45 harvesting, but even before this they are easy to spot, especially at night with their bright blue glow.
