Nvidia GeForce Now, the tech company’s cloud gaming service, has passed the 1 million users mark in just a bit over two weeks since its full launch.
Nvidia GeForce Now fully launched on February 4, featuring both a free tier which lets players stream games from their existing libraries in sessions of up to one hour, and a Founder’s tier which costs €5.49 per month, comes with a 90-day trial, RTX support and server priority access.
Nvidia GeForce Passes 1 Million Users
“Earlier this month, we passed a milestone on our cloud gaming journey by removing the waitlist and opening our doors to more gamers. Over 1 million new gamers have taken to the cloud by signing up for a free plan or upgrading to the Founders membership, which includes a 90-day free trial.”, said GeForce Now GM Phil Eisler in a post.
Eisler calls the 90-day trial a “transitional period”, pointing out that some publishers could follow Activision Blizzard’s example and remove their games from the cloud streaming service.
“Ultimately, they maintain control over their content and decide whether the game you purchase includes streaming on GeForce NOW”, Eisler said, while pointing out that “game removals should be few and far between” as the transition period ends.
GeForce Now’s already massive list of games should also begin seeing new additions each week, going forward.
Aside from Cyberpunk 2077, which will be available on GeForce Now as soon as its launch day, the service has “an additional 1,500 games in [its] onboarding queue”.
