Overcooked! 2 is nearing its release! If you've ever had the chance to play an oddly whimsical, yet completely hectic top-down "cooking" arcade, you'll know what this game is all about. Taking control over up to four chefs either online or offline, players have to cook as much as they possibly can.
After the original release found considerable success as a party game for couch co-op (or versus, if you're a bastard), it was only a matter of time before a more robust successor was created, and we finally have the exact release dates for Overcooked! 2.
Overcooked! 2 will release at various times depending on what time zone you're in. On 7th of August, the game will come out at 9 AM PDT, 12 PM EDT, 1 PM BRT, 5 PM BST, and 6 PM CET. Similarly, on 8th of August, the game will make itself known at 12 AM HKT, and 1 AM JST.
Should you choose to pre-order the game before its release, you will unlock five additional chef costumes: the Monkey, the Calico, the Walrus, the Alien, and the Unicorn, and it is unclear whether these characters will be making a return further on just yet. Of course, they're all merely cosmetics at most.
Overcooked! 2 promises to bring with it an even crazier overworld than was the case before, with more recipes, more content, and more stuff to get irrationally angry over! Certain kitchens will even feature anomalies which bend time and space to further - or stifle - your cause, for added confusion and hilarity.
