Overwatch 2 promises a more consistent content cadence than its predecessor did, making Season 3’s start and end dates fairly important for anyone who wants to reap all the available rewards.
Overwatch 2’s Season 3 will be the first refresh of 2023, expanding the hero shooter’s map pool while adding more goodies to collect. Read on below to learn more about it, including when its start and end dates will occur.
Overwatch 2 Season 3 Start Date
Overwatch 2’s Season 3 doesn’t currently have an official start date, however, we do know that Blizzard plans to release content for the sequel every nine weeks. This leads us to believe that we could see it beginning on February 7, 2023, when Season 2 should come to an close.
Season 3’s end date could, then, occur on April 11, 2023, going by the same logic. Of course, it’s worth keeping in mind that these plans can get disrupted or changed, and we’ll only know for sure when the developer shares more details on the matter.
- Overwatch 2 Season 3 Start Date: February 7, 2023 (GameWatcher estimation)
- Overwatch 2 Season 3 End Date: April 11, 2023 (GameWatcher estimation)
It’s unclear at the moment if current seasons end on the same day as new ones begin, but this will very likely be clarified closer to the date when Season 1 draws to an end.
Overwatch 2 Season 3 Battle Pass and Content
Since Overwatch 2’s Season 3 is still several months away, we don’t know all that many specific details about its battle pass just yet.
Blizzard has confirmed that it will introduce a new map to the game alongside a new battle pass to progress through.
This means that we’ll have new skins and other cosmetics to collect across its free and premium tracks. The battle pass should also have a different theme than the previous two, keeping things interesting.
We’ll have to wait for more details from the developer, which should come over the coming months.
In the meantime, here’s what we know about crossplay support in Overwatch 2 and whether or not you’ll find the game on Xbox Game Pass.
