Even with a sequel steadily approaches, Path of Exile’s post-launch support shows no signs of wavering, its 3.22 update bringing us yet another expansion into which we can sink our teeth.
Path of Exile’s 3.22 expansion will likely introduce a new league and host of mechanics that alter or provide new alternatives when it comes to how we go about obtaining desired gear for our characters.
Path of Exile 3.22 Release Date
Its launch does, however, come at a time when developer Grinding Gear Games is slowly beginning to shift focus towards the long-awaited second entry in the series, leaving players wondering about Path of Exile’s 3.22 update release date.
After several months’ worth of silence we now know that the next expansion is currently aiming to launch on August 18, although the date isn’t 100% confirmed at the moment.

“We’ve seen a lot of people asking when our 3.22 expansion will launch. It’s currently looking like it will launch on August 18th (PDT),” the developer wrote in a Steam post. “This isn’t fully locked in yet. However, we will confirm its launch date at ExileCon in just a few weeks.”
ExileCon 2023 takes place between July 28 and July 29, promising two days that will be packed with announcements and potentially details about both the upcoming expansion and Path of Exile 2.
