What does the Path of Exile Failed to connect to instance error mean? Why does it occur and is there any fix for it?
If you’ve spent any longer period of time with Path of Exile, you’ve likely bumped into the Failed to connect to instance error after being disconnected from your game.
It’s one of the most frustrating errors that plague the hack and slash RPG, largely due to the fact that it can appear when switching to any map, including those housing endgame encounters. This can lead to plenty of time lost.
Path of Exile Failed to Connect to Instance Error
Path of Exile’s Failed to connect to instance error is more prone to occur at the start of a new League due to the influx of players returning to try out the new mechanics.
Unfortunately, it’s not exclusive to these periods of time, players being affected by it well after a League has begun.
While it usually affects random content, it can also target specific maps like those tied to Niko and Delve.
Sadly, the cause of the Path of Exile Failed to connect to instance error lies entirely on developer Grinding Gear Games’ side, leaving players with little else to do than waiting for a fix.
