HypeTrain Digital has announced that it will release a free prologue for Pathologic 3 called Quarantine on March 17. This prologue aims to showcase the game’s dark narrative before it becomes available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S later this year.
A new trailer will air at this evening’s IGN Fan Fest. It shows Bachelor Daniil Dankovsky, a doctor from the capital, investigating a mysterious plague ravaging a remote town.
Pathologic 3: Quarantine is a narrative-driven adventure about a young scientist in search of immortality and a mysterious plague outbreak in a small town. Learn how your story began and what drove a celebrated academic to leave his acclaimed lab.
“We are making a game about how a person develops their mind to learn how to work with things they previously couldn’t or didn’t know how to notice. Our goal is to understand what this means for the player.” said Nikolay Dybowski, founder of Ice-Pick Lodge, developers of Pathologic 3.
The Pathologic series began in 2005. A sequel, which was backed by Kickstarter supporters, arrived in 2019. The good news is that fans who supported the original crowdfunding campaign will get Pathologic 3 for free.
You can find Pathologic 3: Quarantine Prologue on Steam, and look out for the launch on March 17. The full game will arrive on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5 later this year.
