Prehistoric Kingdom has opened its gates to players eager to try their hand at caring for prehistoric animals and setting up parks that attract enough guests to turn a profit. Its early access launch is, however, not the final step on the game’s journey and was accompanied by a roadmap detailing the features and improvements arriving over the coming months.
Prehistoric Kingdom’s 2022 roadmap has a bit of everything, from new items and species to systems updates and even Steam Workshop support.
Prehistoric Kingdom Roadmap
May will bring more animations for your more or less fluffy attractions as well as the addition of food production and notification systems.
Small and medium animals will have a nursery of their own while habitat markers will allow players to define the boundaries of a paddock using invisible fencing. New items are also slated to arrive during the month.
June marks the arrival of Steam Workshop support, paving the way for user-created mods. The main menu’s 2D background will also be overhauled, while your park’s guests will benefit from an expanded ethnicity and animation pool. Animal info signs, new items, and foliage pieces are also on the way.
Afterwards, Prehistoric Kingdom’s 2022 roadmap shifts to a series of quarterly updates. Early Access Patch 1.1 promises three new species, an update to the animals’ locomotion system, a research system, random objectives for challenge mode, and more.
Early Access Patch 1.2 will then add three more species, another locomotion system update that introduces swimming, a heat system, alongside overhauling the animals’ social needs.
You can check out the full Trello roadmap for all the details. It’s also worth keeping in mind that plans can change and features may end up postponed as development goes forward.
That’s what you need to know about Prehistoric Kingdom’s 2022 roadmap. The title is out now on PC in early access, available via both Steam and the Epic Games Store.
