The latest update for Quake: Champions is positively loaded with content - not only does it feature a whole bunch of tweaks, fixes and improvements, but it also adds a number of skins, some new vanity armaments and - most importantly - the Death Knight character.
Death Knight is a so-called 'Medium Champion', featuring 100 HP, 50/100 AP. His active ability is called 'Flame Strike', and allows him to summon a spread-fire of three fireballs with a swing of his sword. These leave a trail of fire behind them. Death Knight is also passively resistant to both fire and lava.
Further additions include the Redeemer Gauntlet from Quake 4, and a special, QuakeCon 2018 variant of the Heavy Machinegun. This weapon can only be attained by logging into the game during the actual event, from August 9-12.
You can also play Custom Game matches versus bot AI now, which will be great for when your Internet connection isn't really up to par, or when you want to just blow some lizards up. There's new music by Andrew Hulshult to be found , as well as a slew of new options to fiddle with.
The list of fixes is far too long for them all to be mentioned here, but it does touch upon things such as outline rendering issues, instances of repeating audio, free-cam problems, matchmaking problems and more. The bot AI has received some polish as well, understandably. The full changelog can be found here, should that interest you enough.
