Publisher Iceberg Interactive has announced the new DLC for Corbie Games’ Railroad Corporation titled Civil War. The DLC has a Steam release date of June 4th and introduces a new campaign of five missions that takes place during the American Civil War.
Railroad Corporation is a strategy management sim focusing on the Golden Age of Steam. The player must build a railroad empire one track at a time and compete against other tycoons to reach the top. The game features historically accurate locomotives and a strategic layer that involves blasting tunnels, buying towns, lobbying politicians, and playing the stock market.
Civil War comes to Railroad Tycoon
In the Civil War, the burgeoning rail network proved key to every victory - the ability to transport troops and materiel over such vast distances ensured that success came to the side that could redeploy the fastest. In Civil War you pick a side and develop the infrastructure for either the Union or Confederate armies.
“Railroads were the foundation upon which modern warfare was built. During the American Civil War, trains could provide supplies, weapons and soldiers to where armies were camped. As a result, the railway became the stage on which campaigns were waged and battles were fought.”
Railroad Corporation is already available on Steam for £27.79, with the Civil War kicking off on June 4th.
