Railway Empire expands over to Europe next month with the release of its Great Britain & Ireland DLC. Scheduled to arrive on December 14 on PC, Xbox One and PS4, its main feature is that of adding the two European territories to the game’s Free Play and Sandbox modes.
Players looking for a more contained experience can delve into the new Transport Revolution scenario, which takes place between 1830 and 1850. The DLC will also add 10 historical engines, 13 tradeable goods and 45 new cities.
The 1.7 Stock Market free update is scheduled for release the same day. When it drops, players will be able to add upgradeable signal stations to their stations and warehouses. Doing so will allow trains to choose the least busy of platforms, thus reducing their idle time.
A new staff member is also making their way into Railway Empire with the 1.7 update. The Analyst has the ability to place false reports on the stock market in order to manipulate companies’ values. “Acquiring a company has also been smoothed over, with players now able to own 100% of a company without having to follow through with a full merger.”, the press release states.
As for the future, players can expect DLC that expands Railway Empire’s reach towards France and Germany. For our thoughts on the game, check out our Railway Empire review.
