Publisher Kalypso Media and developer Gaming Minds Studios have released Railway Empire - Northern Europe, the latest DLC for last year’s simulator.
Railway Empire - Northern Europe’s main addition is a new scenario which takes place between 1853-1870 and sees players helping the Swedish government.
Railway Empire - Northern Europe
“Aid the Swedish Parliament and construct a national railroad to continue the country’s far-reaching industrial advancements along the lakes and sprawling rivers that were first used by freight ships to provide goods and supplies to Northern Europe’s people.”, reads the DLC’s official description.
Alongside its new scenario, Railway Empire - Northern Europe also adds Northern Europe to the map in both the Free Game and Sandbox modes, 30 new cities, 10 new tradeable goods and, naturally, snow.
Railway Empire - Northern Europe introducees the Concession feature, which divides the map into sections. To gain access to new building grounds, players must purchase concessions. The feature is also available on the game’s North American map.
Lastly, players will be able to play with the Odin (2-2-2), Prins August (2-4-0) and SJB II (4-6-0) historical engines.
The DLC is accompanied by the free Christmas update which adds seasonal decorations, a new challenge, and tweaks to Challenge mode.
Railway Empire - Northern Europe and the Christmas update are now available on PC, Xbox One and PS4.
