The North American beaver is just one of Red Dead Redemption 2’s animals that Arthur can hunt for extra cash, food or crafting reasons. If you’re after it, knowing the locations can make the entire experience much smoother.
Here are a couple of good locations worth checking when hunting for the North American beaver in Red Dead Redemption 2.
Red Dead Redemption 2 North American Beaver Locations
It’s safe to say that you won’t find the North American beaver roaming across all of Red Dead Redemption 2’s world. Just like its real life counterpart, it tends to stick to specific locations, especially along the banks of rivers, near lakes or anywhere with bodies of water.
A good North American beaver location in Red Dead Redemption 2 is found in New Hanover. More specifically, you’re looking for a pond that’s south of the Elysian Pool and west of the Van Horn Trading Post.
While you’re in New Hanover, it’s also worth checking for North American beaver locations along the Kamassa River in Roanoke.
You’re bound to also find them on the west banks of the Lannahechee River that’s found on Lemoyne’s southeastern side, near Saint Denis.
West Elizabeth also hosts North American beavers in Red Dead Redemption 2. It’s worth checking along the Upper Montana River leading out of Lake Owanjila for beaver locations. You’ll find it west of Strawberry right in the middle of West Elizabeth.
In order to get a perfect pelt from North American beavers, you’ll want to hunt them using a Varmint Rifle.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is out now on PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Google Stadia.
