Is there a Red Dead Redemption 2 Steam release or is it an Epic Games exclusive?
The Red Dead Redemption 2 PC release date is November 5, less than a month away - what a surprise and happy announcement! But the big question is then, will it be exclusive to any platform? We can confirm that there will be a Red Dead Redemption 2 Steam PC release - but when will it happen?
For the bad news, there is (sort of) Red Dead Redemption 2 Epic exclusivity, and yet - not, either. It certainly seems to be only exclusive to EGS over Steam, in a similar way to how Ubisoft is handling its games like Ghost Recon Breakpoint.
On November 5, RDR2 will launch on the Rockstar Games Launcher and Epic Games Store, and will be available to buy on Greenman Gaming, the Humble Store, GameStop, and other retailers. It can be pre-ordered this month.
On December 5, Red Dead Redemption 2 will launch on Steam. Yes, Red Dead Redemption 2 will be an Epic exclusive for just one month - well, exclusive to EGS and Rockstar's own launcher. If you want to get RDR2 on Steam, you simply have a wait a month for it - which certainly isn't bad, compared to many other Epic exclusivity deals.
