It’s likely one of the first secrets that will leave you stumped, and it’s designed in such a devious way that, no matter how close you are to the chest, the solution is always right under your nose.

The chest itself waits in Ford’s office, which is located on the superior floor of the area where you usually upgrade and craft new gear. It’s marked on your map with a purple star.
In order to find the code that unlocks Ford’s chest in Ward 13, you have to turn to the trusty flashlight you’re given during Remnant 2’s starting segment. Bring up your inventory, inspect it, and rotate it. On its bottom, you’ll notice a hastily inscribed code: 0415. That is the combination you can use to unlock the chest.
Doing so lets you pick up the Cargo Control Key quest item, which looks plain enough, but sends you on another treasure hunt where you must navigate to the dockyard moving beyond the metal gates. The Cargo Control Key can be used at this location to access a storage room housing the MP60-R submachine gun.
