Remnant 2 will get its second paid DLC, The Forgotten Kingdom, later this month on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. It will cost £8.39 / €9,99.
Gunfire Games confirmed it’s developing three pieces of premium DLC for Remnant 2, with the unnamed third piece said to be released at the end of the year. The first, Awakened King, launched in November.
A DLC bundle is available priced at £20.99 / €24.99 for all three, and if you’ve purchased the Ultimate Edition, you’ll gain access to all of the DLC without any extra charges.
Remnant 2 The Forgotten Kingdom comes with new challenges and an Archetype
The Remnant 2 The Forgotten Kingdom will launch for PC, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 on the 23rd April, 2024.
The Forgotten Kingdom invites players to unravel the missing history of Yaesha’s lost tribe, as they calm the spiteful fury of an ancient stone spirit known as Lydusa.
The traces of torment, treachery, and death are leaving a foul stench across the land of once proud ziggurats, as Lydusa’s living stones wander the crumbling remnants of an ancient civilization in search of fresh blood.
In this mysterious new location, players can explore new dungeons, loot powerful new equipment - including the newly introduced Archetype, “The Invoker” - encounter unforeseen allies, and confront novel dangers as you head out on a new quest to restore a measure of peace to the forgotten kingdom.
You may have perked up when we mentioned The Invoker Archetype, and while we can’t tell you too much at the moment, it is said to draw strength from the Nature Spirits of Yaesha, so it harnesses the mystic power of the jungle. More details were promised in a trailer that will be revealed next week.
If you’re in search of a greater challenge - of course you are its a souls-like! - it’s been noted that this new realm will be more perilous and demanding for most survivalists, featuring formidable bosses to battle and new creatures to face.
You can buy Remnant 2 from the Humble Store right now and save 40% at £25.19, but you can also find it on the PlayStation Store and on Xbox.
