Next year’s Resident Evil 3 Remake will feature the dreaded Hunter Beta enemies, although their reimagined versions might behave differently to better suit the modernized gameplay.
Publisher Capcom confirmed the presence of the Hunter Beta enemies in Resident Evil 3 during its official weekly Capcom TV program. As part of it, members of the Resident Evil Ambassadors group had a chance to ask questions that were answered by RE3 Producer Masachika Kawata and Tsuyoshi Otani, who handles the Ambassadors program.
Resident Evil 3 Remake Hunter Beta Enemies
“Hunter Beta is confirmed to be in the game, but [Kawata] hints it may behave quite differently as they’ve reimagined the Hunter enemy for the modern era and gameplay style, and how to make Hunters more interesting for a modern audience.”, ResetEra user Dusk Golem explains, based on translations from Japanese by cvxfreak.
He also explains that with Resident Evil 2 Capcom “tried to stick closer to the original in many ways to capture the spirit of it”, however, Resident Evil 3 will see “bigger changes”, to the point where “some story events may be dramatically changed to what we remember”.
The Resident Evil 3 remake will, supposedly, focus on making “characters more interesting”, while Dario will have “a MUCH larger role”.
Resident Evil 3 Remake is currently available for pre-order and set to release on April 3, 2020 on PC and PS4.
