Apex Legends cheaters may well soon find themselves in quite a pickle, as the developers, Respawn Entertainment, are working on an integrated machine learning solution to the game's rampant cheating problem.
According to the latest update from Respawn, an automated AI-driven anti-cheat solution might be getting implemented in Apex soon (or may even already be up and running), which will match known spammers and cheaters together for a quick and efficient way of tackling the problem head-on.
"As we’ve said before, the war against cheaters will be ongoing and remains a high priority for us," said Respawn. "We’d like to thank the players that have been getting involved with helping us squash cheaters over the last week whether it be submitting reports or assisting with the vetting process for suspicious behavior."
The implementation of this highly-advanced anti-cheat software will mark the biggest and most prominent deployment against widespread cheating in Apex Legends, and if all goes well, the increase in appointed tech and resources will help bring this goal to fruition.
it's worth noting that Respawn say that "even if you are not specifically using a cheat, partying up with cheaters is still cheating," which is important for a certain type of player as well. Something to keep in mind moving forward, to be sure.
