Risk of Rain 2 is now available on Steam Early Access in all its 3D glory. Among the plethora of items you’ll loot in between action-packed fights and repeated deaths, you’ll sometimes find Lunar Coins.
Here’s all we know about how to find Risk of Rain 2 Lunar Coins and what they can buy.
How to Find Risk of Rain 2 Lunar Coins
<p>
Risk of Rain 2 Lunar Coins drop randomly upon defeating foes, although they do seem to be among the rarer pieces of loot. You’ll know you’re looking at one when a large silver coin pops out from a dead foe and floats above the ground.
Luckily, Risk of Rain 2 Lunar Coins are account bound, meaning that you don’t drop them upon death. So, what can you buy with them?
Finding the round, blue Lunar Plants and giving them one coin usually rewards you with one random item. However, you might want to hold onto your Risk of Rain 2 Lunar Coins, at least for a while, as 10 Lunar Coins can also be used to unlock the Artificer character.
In order to do so, you’ll first need to pay one Risk of Rain 2 Lunar Coin at a Shrine of Newt (spiky, blue rocks). Doing so gives you a blue orb which you can use to access the Bazaar. This is done by defeating the level boss and jumping into the blue portal at the end of the level isntead of the usual one which sends you onward. Once inside, you’ll find an unusual vendor which sells a number of items, one of which is the Artificer character.
You can also spend Risk of Rain 2 Lunar Coins in the Bazaar for Devil Deal items, which grant powerful buffs but also significant drawbacks.
