Roccat has expanded its keyboard lineup with two new, more affordable models that boast not just fiery names, Magma and Pyro, but also a set of features that might draw your attention, considering their pricing.
The Roccat Magma Membrane RGB Gaming Keyboard comes with a semi-transparent top plate alongside a 5-zone, 10-LED 16.8 million color RGBA backlighting that offers what the brand calls its “best AIMO lighting showcase to date.” Not only that but, if you’re into customizing the lighting of your entire setup, the keyboard connects to other devices in the AIMO range.
The Magma’s high-quality rubber dome keys ensure that your typing stays silent without making its keystrokes lose responsiveness or reliability, according to the manufacturer. It also features advanced anti-ghosting technology that lets you press multiple keys without having to worry about them not registering.
Priced at $59.99 or your regional equivalent, the Magma also includes “convenient media controls, and features ROCCAT’s acclaimed Easy-Shift [+] technology allowing gamers to assign a secondary function to their most-used keys,” as well as a detachable palm rest.
The Roccat Pyro Mechanical RGB Gaming Keyboard is more expensive, priced at $99.99 or your regional equivalent. It is designed with a premium brushed metal top plate and uses TTC’s linear (or red) switches, which are “tested to 50 million keystrokes lifetime for a responsive and durable gaming experience.”
Like its cheaper counterpart, the Pyro also features advanced anti-ghosting and Easy-Shift [+] technology and a detachable palm rest, but also makes use of the AIMO lighting engine while borrowing the Vulcan’s volume wheel that lets users easily control audio levels.
