UPDATE September 30: Sackboy: A Big Adventure’s PC version officially confirmed by Sony.
Sackboy: A Big Adventure is all but confirmed to be the next PlayStation exclusive that makes the jump to PC, after a trailer released early on the PlayStation Latin America YouTube account revealed a planned October release date.
The now-unlisted trailer also mentioned a number of PC-specific features coming when Sackboy: A Big Adventure launches, putting the title in line with other former PlayStation exclusives that arrived on PC in recent memory.
The game launches with support for ultrawide monitors, 4K resolution, and variable refresh rate. Nvidia DLSS will also be included.
According to the trailer, Sackboy: A Big Adventure is expected to launch on October 27 via both Steam and the Epic Games Store.
If true, this would make it the second PS exclusive to come to PC next month, a bit over a week after Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection debuts.
Sackboy: A Big Adventure will likely not be the last of Sony’s titles we’ll get to play without purchasing a console, either.
A growing number of leaks point towards Returnal also being a prime candidate to follow in its footsteps soon.
The publisher previously shared its intention to introduce the PC audience to more of its games, so we’re certainly looking at some interesting times ahead.
Sony officially announced Sackboy: A Big Adventure’s PC release date several hours after its accidental reveal.
