Publisher Iceberg Interactive and developer Poetic Studios have announced that psychological RPG Sacred Fire is set to enter Steam Early Access on October 19.
Sacred Fire puts players in the role of a refugee hunted by Rome, whose actions are “compromised by fear and rage.” The title places a heavy emphasis on choices, both in terms of story and combat, giving you different avenues of befriending others and outsmarting those who want you dead.
Doug Cockle, Michelle Gonzo, and Ben Britton play important story NPCs and, if you’re curious about how Sacred Fire plays, a free demo is currently available on Steam, letting you try out the game’s first chapter.
Upon entering Early Access, players will get to play through the first of three planned acts. The other two will be added as free updates at a later point in time.
There’s no word yet on how much time Sacred Fire will spend in Early Access, but the developer will take player feedback into account as it pushes towards the full release. Initially, the title will only be available in English, localization efforts kicking into gear “once the story is finalized.” Check out the game’s latest trailer below.
