Scrap Mechanic’s survival mode introduced hunger and consequently farming to the early access game. For a crop to grow you first need to find its seed and while most are easy to obtain, players have been having trouble locating the fabled pineapple seed, which along with broccoli make up the top tier food group.

Scrap Mechanic Pineapple Seeds
Pineapple seeds are rare to say the least, and although pineapples can be found in damaged chests throughout the world, their seeds only generate inside the loot room at the top level of warehouses. The warehouses are scattered across the map and require the use of a Warehouse Key to unlock the elevator. These keys are found as a drop from the large Farmbots.
One interesting aspect of farming is that when you hear “UNAUTHORIZED FARMING DETECTED!” waves of attacks from the planet’s robots are triggered to destroy your crops. You get some time to prepare but they will keep escalating so long as you keep planting. Being considered high tier, pineapple seeds can even add two-hit-kill Tapebots to the spawn.
