Developer Rare today announced that Sea of Thieves’ first Gold & Glory weekend of 2021 has officially kicked off. As a result, players will find the game’s Adventure mode to be more rewarding or a limited time.
Gold & Glory weekend events double the Gold and Reputation rewards earned from Adventure mode, making you twice as richer and liked by factions for doing piratey things.
The first Gold & Glory weekend of 2021 is already live and lasts until January 18 at 3:59 PM PT/11:59 PM GMT. It’s not a long period of time (weekends never are) but there’s definitely enough to add more riches than usual to your coffer.
Sea of Thieves Gold & Glory weekend events tend to return a couple of times throughout the year and we’ll highlight future ones in this article as soon as we catch wind of another one approaching.
In the meantime, here’s a reminder about the content introduced in the game’s December update and how seasons will replace monthly updates starting with this month.
