Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is the latest game from the sadistic geniuses at From Software, who are masters at creating challenging boss encounters. There's often optional ones to find too, which goes for the Sekiro Demon of Hatred boss.
The Demon of Hatred is an optional boss encounter in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and he's hard to find and even harder to defeat. Below we'll show you how to find the Demon of Hatred boss and how to beat Demon of Hatred too. We won't be able to stop you dying on the way, however...
How to Find and Defeat the Sekiro Demon of Hatred Boss
Demon of Hatred boss can only be found after you've defeated the so-called DD (no spoilers - you'll know it when you kill it), because that's what marks the beginning of Sekiro's endgame proper. This will also wipe the majority of your fast travel idols, which you're going to have to re-earn. The fastest way to get to Demon of Hatred is by starting at the Abandoned Dungeon and making your way to Old Grave, then going straight to the north.
When you're at the Old Grave, locate the new bridge that wasn't available before, and move over it. Expect enemy presence, but keep pushing toward the huge gate further to the north. Eventually, you're going to find a burned-down village with a teleportation idol in the middle. Interact with it, and this will teleport you to Demon of Hatred.
According to players who've already completed this encounter, you're going to want to stick close to the Demon and have the Fire Umbrella at the ready for his numerous burning attacks. Do keep in mind that you'll also have to jump to avoid some of Demon's shockwaves, and even then, be prepared to die a lot. Thankfully, there's an idol really close by, so it's just a matter of perseverence, really.
