Publisher Devolver Digital and developer Croteam today announced that Serious Sam 4 has been delayed until September.
Initially set to release in August, Serious Sam 4’s release date has been moved to Thursday, September 24, which is when the game will be available on PC and Google Stadia.
Despite the number at the end of its title, Serious Sam 4 is actually a prequel that seeks to establish Sam’s origins while he obliterates waves of fearsome opponents.
Serious Sam 4 Delayed
Serious Sam 4’s delay won’t stop it pitting you against now iconic enemies like the Headless Kamikaze, Beheaded Rocketeer, Kleer and Werebull.
Thankfully, you won’t have to face them barehanded, as you’ll have access to weapons like the minigun, double-barreled shotgun or cannon, alongside a new and very promising sounding auto-shotgun.

Large quantities of enemies have always been a staple of the series, however, Serious Sam 4 takes things one step further with the introduction of its Legion system that allows “thousands of enemies” to be present on the battlefield at any given time.
Serious Sam 4 is available for pre-order on Steam ahead of its new September 24 release date.
