Frogwares has announced that despite facing obstacles such as the ongoing war in Ukraine and frequent power cuts, its next game, Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened, has successfully gone gold ahead of its scheduled release in April.
The developer persevered through the uncertainties of wartime to confirm the April 11 release date, and has released a new trailer to celebrate this achievement.
Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened is a reimagining of one of Frogwares’ earliest titles, featuring Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s iconic detective pitted against the eldritch horrors of H.P. Lovecraft’s universe. The game’s tantalizing premise centers on whether the madness of the cult of Cthulhu will be enough to break Holmes’ great mind.
GameWatcher played a preview build earlier this year and came away fairly impressed. So it’ll be interesting to see how the finished product turns out.
Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened will come to PC and consoles on April 11, and pre-orders are now live. It features Standard, Deluxe, and Premium editions that start from $39.99.
