Publisher and developer Wales Interactive today unveiled the reveal trailer for upcoming co-op round-based survival first-person shooter Sker Ritual. The spiritual successor to horror game Maid of Sker relies on a similar aesthetic but puts action and gruesome enemies at the forefront.
Sker Ritual’s reveal trailer, which you can watch below, gives us a brief glimpse at some of the masked horrors that we’ll face. Some look to be simple but deadly grunts, while others use powers like teleportation and invisibility as they try to make sure that you don’t make it out alive.
The title supports up to four players, a scaling system ensuring adequate difficulty regardless of party size. As new enemies join the fray, you’ll have to adapt your tactics.
You can find weapons and ammunition at The Laughing Policeman’s booths, spread around the game’s maps. Unique upgrades then give you the chance to obtain bonus buffs and steampunk-inspired enhancements that also add some style to the act of blowing apart opponents.
Characters can be customized using masks inspired by different forms of horror and can taunt each other using voice lines as they face the enemy hordes. Sker Ritual will also include Miracles, which “form part of a unique perk system.”
If this all sounds like your cup of tea, you can already follow and wishlist Sker Ritual on Steam ahead of its planned summer 2022 launch.
