Slime Rancher 2 continues Beatrix LeBeau’s slime ranching adventures, this time taking her to a new location called Rainbow Island. While exploring this new biome, you’ll meet your fair share of slimes new and familiar. However, given how welcoming the game looks, you may wonder if multiplayer might also be planned.
Co-op is one fairly requested feature going into Slime Rancher 2 and, since sequels are perfect ground to build on the original and expand its gameplay offering, it would make sense to see co-op added.
Slime Rancher 2 Multiplayer
Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like Slime Rancher 2 multiplayer will be available, at least at launch. Giving the game’s Steam page a look only reveals a single-player tag.
This means that, much like its predecessor, the sequel won’t release with co-op support and we’ll have to help Beatrix on our own.

That being said, there still is a chance that Slime Rancher 2 co-op might arrive in a post-launch update. Sadly, there’s currently no confirmation of that being the case at the moment.
We’ll keep an eye out and update this article as soon as we learn more about Slime Rancher 2 multiplayer. The game is expected to launch at some point in fall 2022.
