Independent developer and publisher Rebellion Entertainment has announced that the Sniper Elite V2 Remastered release date is locked down to next month.
Sniper Elite V2 Remastered revitalizes the 2012 third-person stealth action game, letting players step into the shoes of Karl Fairburne as he navigates a ruined Berlin during the Nazis’ final stand. Employing both stealth and a lethal arsenal of weapons, he must ensure that V2 rocket technology doesn’t make its way into the hands of the Red Army.
Sniper Elite V2 Remastered Release Date
The Sniper Elite V2 Remastered release date is only a bit over a month away, the title launching on May 14 on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. Pre-orders for the game’s digital edition go live starting today and will include a 10% discount prior to launch. If you’re more old school, boxed editions, distributed by Sold Out, will also be available on launch day, although only for the console version.
Sniper Elite V2 Remastered brings a host of improvements to 2012’s entry in the series, including 4K and HDR support. Visually, players can expect updated environments, weapons, vehicles and characters. The remaster will also introduce modernized rendering and post-processing effects, enhanced texturing and level geometry, a revamped lighting system, alongside multiple other improvements.
A new frame-by-frame photo mode is also making its way into Sniper Elite V2 Remastered, allowing players to capture those perfectly lined shots in detail, as are seven playable characters from the developer’s Zombie Army series. Multiplayer battles also get more intense, with the remastered version supporting up to 16 players across its seven modes.
All additional content received by the original game will be included for free with Sniper Elite V2 Remastered. New players can get their hands on the title for the price of £29.99/$34.99/€34.99, while owners of the original can upgrade to the remastered version for £6.99/$9.99/€9.99.
