Sonic crossover content has become an increasingly common sight in the past decade or so, but mostly it’s the blue blur showing up in other games such as Minecraft, Fall Guys, and Smash Bros. This time, another franchise is invading a Sonic game, and it’s certainly not one we’d have thought of as a natural fit.
Capcom’s Monster Hunter will arrive in Sonic Frontiers via free DLC a week after launch. The DLC includes a Rathalos Armor Set for Sonic and a cooking minigame that can make Sonic more powerful. It’s set to release on November 14th at 5 pm PST.

It’s actually not an unprecedented collaboration, either. Sonic appeared as part of a DLC quest set in the Nintendo Switch game Monster Hunter Rise last year as part of Sonic’s 30th-anniversary celebrations.
Sonic Frontiers will dash onto PC on November 8, 2022.
