When does Space Marine 2 Season 3 release? Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 continues to be one of the most remarkable AAA releases of the second half of 2024, and now Saber Interactive is teasing amped-up post-launch plans following notable sales and killer reviews from both critics and longtime WH40K fans. With season 2 out in the wild and 2025 on the horizon, what should we expect from Season 3 when it arrives?

Space Marine 2 Season 3 Release Date
Space Marine 2’s post-launch roadmap gave us a pretty good look at what to expect from the fantastic third-person shooter game past its first season, which began with the game’s 1.0 launch on September 9, 2024. More PvE missions, guns, PvP arenas/modes, and enemies, among other things, are coming our way. And that’s just the stuff we know about. As for season 3, when is it coming, and what does it pack for both standard-edition players and the diehards who have purchased the season pass?
- Space Marine 2 season 3 is set to start at some point in early 2025.
Sorry, but that’s all we know for now regarding a release window for the game’s third season, as season 2 has just begun and the dev team is hard at work on future content and updates. Once work has progressed a bit further, Saber will likely update the post-launch roadmap.
Season 2 went live on October 17, 2024, through Update 4.0, adding a new PvE mission featuring the huge Hierophant Bio-Titan enemy, the harsher Lethal difficulty level for the most levelled-up Marines, and the photo mode for Operations (only when playing solo). Later during the season, the Neo-Volkite pistol and Dark Angels-themed skins will arrive.
Space Marine 2 Season 3 Content
As explained by the Post-Launch Overview trailer, Space Marine 2’s post-launch plans – even in their current state – are rather meaty, and following the huge sales of Saber’s game, chances are those plans might get juiced up big time. In fact, ideas for a story DLC expansion and even a third game are being thrown around, but let’s focus on this one for now.
Season 3 will continue to round out the package at no additional cost with PvE and PvP content. Owners of the season pass, meanwhile, will gain exclusive access to new customization options, such as paint jobs, new armour pieces, and gun skins, all based on pre-existing WH40K canon. This is the rundown of everything we know is coming with season 3:
- New PvE mission.
- New PvP game mode.
- New PvP arenas (yes, plural).
- One new enemy (species/faction yet to be confirmed).
- PvE prestige ranks for the most dedicated warriors.
- Expansion of the Battle Barge.
- For season pass owners: Champion pack, cosmetic pack, and weapon skin pack for one Space Marine chapter. A second chapter will receive a champion pack as well.
