Update: Publisher Electronic Arts has confirmed that the Star Wars Battlefront 2: Celebration Edition does indeed launch on December 5 with the content mentioned in the original report.
New players can grab the Star Wars Battlefront 2: Celebration Edition for $39.99, while existing owners can upgrade to it for $24.99. Origin Access Premier subscribers will have access to the Celebration Edition as part of their subscription.
Original: Star Wars Battlefront 2 has recovered quite well following its controversial launch and it appears that a Celebration Edition of the first-person shooter is on its way, with a release date that’s quite close.
The Star Wars Battlefront 2 Celebration Edition will include the base game, all present and future updates, alongside a good number of cosmetic items for various in-game units.

“Get STAR WARS Battlefront II and the complete collection of customization content acquirable through in-game purchase [sic] from launch up to – and including – items inspired by STAR WARS™: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER™* when they release December 20, 2019”, the Celebration Edition’s description reads, as spotted by TrueAchievements.
Star Wars Battlefront 2: Celebration Edition has a release date of December 5, 2019 which, if true, means that the package will be available this Thursday. Here are the cosmetic items reportedly included:
- More than 25 Hero Appearances
- Including six Legendary Appearances
- plus one Appearance each for Rey, Finn, and Kylo Ren inspired by STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER, coming December 20
- More than 125 Trooper and Reinforcement Appearances
- More than 100 Hero and Trooper Emotes and Voice Lines
- More than 70 Hero and Trooper Victory Poses.
An update for the title is also scheduled to launch on December 5, introducing new appearances for reinforcements, UI updates and more.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 is out now on PC, Xbox One and PS4.
