As Star Wars: Squadrons nears its October release, many players are wondering whether or not a demo or beta will let them get a taste of the game pre-launch.
A Star Wars: Squadrons Demo would help get an early impression of how the game – which brings back a formula seldom seen lately – nails its first-person space dogfights.
The last EA Star Wars game that featured a beta was Battlefront II, which was also when players discovered its pay-to-win elements. Star Wars: Squadrons looks unlikely to repeat Battlefront II’s mistakes, publisher Electronic Arts claiming that both gameplay-affecting and cosmetic items will be earned exclusively by playing the game.
Star Wars: Squadrons Demo or Beta
There curently is no word on a potential Star Wars: Squadrons demo or beta happening ahead of launch, which could mean that players won’t get a chance to take the game for a spin before October.
That being said, there’s still some time between now and the release date, during which an announcement of a limited-time Star Wars: Squadrons demo or beta could still be made.
We’ll keep an eye out and update this article with any news about a potential Star Wars: Squadrons beta or demo as soon as we learn more. In the meantime, here’s why EA decided to go with a lower price for the game.
Star Wars: Squadrons is due out on October 2 and headed to PC, Xbox One and PS4.
