Publisher Electronic Arts is set to reveal Star Wars Squadrons later today, giving us a first look at the next game using the popular license.
Details on Star Wars Squadrons are scarce at the moment, however, the art currently available reveals that we’re likely in for a Rebellion era game that focuses on spaceship combat.
The Star Wars Squadrons art features both the iconic TIE Fighter and X-Wing, as well as the Y-Wing, TIE Bomber and other ships. There’s also an imperial capital vessel, however, we don’t know just yet if we’ll be able to pilot larger ships.

Star Wars Squadrons was accidentally leaked by website Xbox.com last week, EA stepping in shortly after to confirm that it is, indeed, its next Star Wars game.
The Star Wars UK Twitter account also teased fans with pictures of an X-Wing and TIE Fighter obscured by shadows, accompanied by the text “Pilots Wanted”.
It’s looking likely that we’ll be piloting the two iconic ships later this year and we’re bound to learn more in under an hour, when the official trailer reveal, which you can watch below, happens.
