When will Starcraft be available on Xbox Game Pass? Blizzard Entertainment will bring its legendary StarCraft series to Xbox Game Pass for PC in November. From November 5, 2024, StarCraft: Remastered and StarCraft 2: Campaign Collection will be available for PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate subscribers.
The original StarCraft and StarCraft 2’s multiplayer are already free for everyone, but this gives anyone wanting to expand their experience a fairly easy way to do so on the cheap.
RTS classic Starcraft 1 and 2 coming to Xbox Game Pass soon
StarCraft first launched in 1998. The RTS game became a massive hit and is still seen as a significant benchmark for RTS titles and PC gaming in the late 90s (and there was some very hefty competition then!). The game is set in the 26th century and revolves around a galactic power struggle between warring factions: the Terrans, the Protoss, and the Zerg. The remaster was launched in 2017 and further boosted the game’s popularity.
Its long-awaited sequel, StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty, launched in 2010 and was a huge success in its own right. It was at the forefront of games being streamed to view online and has further grown the series’ popularity and community.
In the official Xbox Wire post for the announcement, there are some interesting tidbits on the series’ impact over the years, including how it’s actually been into space and created an Olympic champion.
