Stardew Valley’s cozy take on having your own farm proved to be a goldmine of long-lasting appeal, as the thousands of players seeing to their crops at any time clearly attests. Since it continues to receive updates five years after launch, those players who’ve yet to hop on board might want to know whether or not we could see it coming to Xbox Game Pass or its PC counterpart in 2021.
Stardew Valley has avoided Xbox Game Pass thus far but that will change later this year, which is very welcome news.
During August’s ID@Xbox Showcase, creator Eric Barone confirmed that Stardew Valley will arrive on Xbox Game Pass, for both console and PC, later in 2021.
If you’ve yet to try out the title, you should find it on Microsoft’s subscription service “probably sometime in the fall.” A set release date wasn’t given at the time but, as of December 2, 2021, Stardew Valley is available on Xbox Game Pass.
Stardew Valley originally released on PC but has since arrived on more platforms, including last-gen consoles and mobile devices. Its addition to the Game Pass library marks the next step in its post-launch journey after update 1.5 introduced a brand new region to the game.
