With its fifth Steam Early Access update now live, space sim Starpoint Gemini 3 has entered the beta phase of development.
Initially meant to bring improvements to the narrative, Starpoint Gemini 3’s fifth update has grown significantly, bringing with it many other additions which prompted developer Little Green Men Games to rename it to Beta.
Starpoint Gemini 3 Beta Early Access Update
For starters, Starpoint Gemini 3’s protagonist, Jonathan Bold, has been completely overhauled, receiving improvements to all aspects starting with his 3D model and ending with animations.
As far as narrative is concerned, the Beta update also introduces new playable missions in the main campaign which include “new places to visit, new characters to meet, new intrigues to uncover”, as well as the first glimpses at the main character’s changing personality.
Starpoint Gemini 3 also receives its first batch of anti-capital ship mechanics in the form of exploitable weak points.
A revamped reward system, new rich asteroids, UI changes and many new events were also added in Starpoint Gemini 3’s Beta update. You can check out the full list of changes in the announcement post.
