Starpoint Gemini 3 entered early access one year ago and has now announced the date for the upcoming release. The game will leave early access and fully unlock all features on October 14th, with the developers also adding new features to the current build for testing today.
Possibly the biggest new feature to be added today is Workshop support, allowing players to share their creations from ship models and gameplay tweaks to new missions and total conversions. As for the full release, Little Green Men Games have confirmed that the entire campaign and player owned capital ships will be included.

If you’re playing the current version, 0.8 brings with it updates to the blueprint system, space anomalies to explore, and new elements to exploit. Navigation and HUD information see big improvements as well, with targeted enemy objects now displaying additional information and a Starchart based waypoint system to stop the directionally challenged of us from getting so lost.
There’s plenty more enticing additions available in the patch notes, including the rebalanced trading system and wormholes. The game is available on Steam for £16.74 which is 33% off normal price, at which it will remain until the October 14th release.
