You know when you hear two companies are collaborating and you wonder why you never saw how perfect that would be? That’s how I felt when Behaviour Interactive announced it had enrolled Until Dawn and The Quarry developer Supermassive Games to create a single-player game set in the world of its multiplayer horror hit.
It’s very early in development so there’s nothing to show, unfortunately. It was at least confirmed by Supermassive that this will be a typical game of theirs set within the Dead by Daylight universe, but not in the sadistic realm the game itself takes place in. From the sounds of it, an existing killer will be tackling a new cast of hapless victims.
Supermassive Games’ choose-your-own-death adventures feel like the perfect fit to launch the Dead by Daylight world into a whole new stratosphere. Whichever killer (and I imagine it’ll be at least one of the original creations) ends up starring, they’ll get a great chance to showcase their brutal skills in a whole new light.
