Teased last week as the follow-up to Surviving Mars, post-apocalyptic colony sim Surviving the Aftermath is now available in Early Access via the Epic Games Store and Xbox Game Preview.
Developed by Iceflake Studios, Surviving the Aftermath’s Early Access phase will give players a first taste of building and maintaining a colony “in the shadow of a world-ending event.”.

Surviving the Aftermath is set on Earth, and, with resources being scarce, keeping your people alive requires judicious management of both the colony and its production chains, in order to make sure that nothing is wasted.
“Surviving the Aftermath is more than a colony builder and enables players to go beyond the shelter to explore a dangerous world filled with unique biomes, hazards, bandits, and more. Recruit and send out teams of Specialists to gather resources and intelligence about the world around the colony.”, publisher Paradox says in a press release.
In their attempt at survival, players will have more than 50 buildings to construct and protect from natural disasters, as well as over 46 Specialists, vital for managing the colony’s resources and production.
During its Early Access stint, Surviving the Aftermath will receive updates focusing on “diplomacy and combat options between colonies, expanded tech trees, endgame content and much more.”
You can pick up Surviving the Aftermath’s Early Access versions starting today for the discounted price of $19.99 / £15.49 / €19.99. The title’s full version will launch on PC, via both the Epic Games Store and Steam, Xbox One and PS4 in late 2020.
