Publisher Prime Matter and developer Nightdive Studios have announced that a new demo for System Shock’s long-awaited remake will be available to download during Steam Next Fest.
System Shock Remake’s newest demo includes the game’s opening level in its entirety, imposing no restrictions on players while also introducing antagonist Shodan alongside her minions.

The title’s modernized version stays true to the spirit of the original’s gameplay, but comes with vastly improved visuals, updated controls, an overhauled interface, as well new sounds & music.
In true immersive sim fashion, players can use stealth, cunning, and different futuristic weapons to deal with the opponents, traps, and puzzles they encounter while exploring Citadel Station, which now comes with several all-new areas of its own.
Running between February 6 and February 13, Steam Next Fest highlights upcoming games through playable demos. Nightdive Studios’ latest project is one of many titles you can sample ahead of time and, potentially add to your wishlist.
System Shock’s remake is set to launch at some point in March 2023. You can now pre-order System Shock remake on both Steam and the Epic Games Store.
