Publishers Hooded Horse and Firesquid Games have announced that TactiCon 2023, their event themed around strategy and strategy-adjacent games, is set to kick off later this week on Steam.
More than 100+ titles are confirmed as participants this year, including Amplitude Studio’s tactical action rogue-lite Endless Dungeon and Mimimi Production’s stealth strategy game Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew.
TactiCon 2023
TactiCon 2023 has locked down its start date to May 11. The festivities kick off at 10:30 AM PST/1:30 PM EST/6:30 PM BST, with a special showcase hosted by creators ReneeSky and GamerZakh. The event is then set to end five days later, on May 15.
The organizers promise a host of announcements, reveals, and demos for titles like space management game Mars Horizon 2: The Search for Life, tactical RPG Shardpunk: Verminfall, and turn-based roguelike Shogun Showdown.
Reus developer Abbey Games will unveil its latest project during TactiCon 2023, while Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew, Geeklight Odyssey, and many other titles will showcase gameplay.
Firesquid Games will share more details about anime-themed sRPG Blade Prince Academy and we’ll hear news about several titles from the Hooded Horse portfolio.
In addition, a number of different panels are also scheduled, covering topics like the ones listed below.
- The Art of War: Applying philosophical principles to modern strategy game
- Ecology and climate in strategy games
- Playing with uncertainty: Embracing randomness in management and strategy games
- Music in Strategy Game
